Cretan Eagle Aviation has been operating since 2002 from Heraklion airport on the island of Crete located at the most southern point of Greece.
We offer courses from a private to a professional level covering both the flight and ground training required.
Our main Instructors are George Kelarakis (Director) and Jason Bellos (Head of Training), which are highly trained and experienced JAA pilots.
Their experience amounts to thousand of hours of instruction in all types of weather and most types of aircraft. They both gained their experience training and working in England as flight and ground instructors.
The fleet of Cretan Eagle Aviation consists of a Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Piper Arrow PA28R-200 (variable pitch and retractable undercarriage), and our multi-engine aircraft the Piper Seneca PA34-200. All our aircraft are well maintained and meet the requirements for the training that the school provides.

Heraklion airport is open 24 hours enabling us to train without restriction day or night and its busy environment is ideal for the pilots who wish to train at a professional level. Located at the most southern point of Europe gives us approximately 330 flying days a year.
Cretan Eagle Aviation is an approved JAA FTO GR-004 (Flight Training Organisation) that takes pride in providing quality training for its pilots. We are also affiliated with one of the best theoretical schools in the United Kingdom,Cranfield Aviation Training school (CATS), which specialize in ground training from PPL to ATPL level.
Cretan Eagle uses and sells CATS ATPL study guides through out Greece.
